NIHAL SEVGILI
My Story
My background in architectural design has grown into a passion for exploring how materials, form, and data-driven tools can shape healthier, more sustainable buildings.
I'm now intensely focused on phase change materials (PCMs), environmental simulations, and geometric optimization. My long-term goal is to contribute to research projects that integrate design and science, and to eventually become an academic working in building science and thermal performance.
This site is a living archive of that journey. It contains lecture-style notes, teaching sketches, workflow breakdowns, and documentation of my personal research. Whether you're a collaborator, a professor, or a fellow researcher, I hope this gives you a sense of how I think, build, and explain.
